Dogs have an emotional range similar to that of a two-and-a-half-year-old child, as well as their own species-specific emotional, mental and physical needs. On a daily basis, our dogs make significant compromises to adjust to life in our human world and fit in with our lifestyles. By being aware of these needs – and trying to meet them – we can create the foundation for an environment in which a happy, contented dog will flourish.
Based on the principles of modern science and current research, our approach is kind, achievable and effective.
Underpinning all we do is the desire and ability to create a strong relationship between you and your dog. The foundation of all great relationships is communication, safety and trust. We work with you, so that you and your dog can enjoy sharing your lives with each other.
WE REJECT FEAR, INTIMIDATION & FORCE | WE FOSTER COMMUNICATION, TRUST & CONFIDENCE
HOUNDED BEHAVOURIAL CONSULTATION
This is a deep dive into your dog’s history, the nature of any problems and all other relevant information. We send it out by email and request that it is retuned one week before a home visit for us to review and prepare for the visit.
The home visit
Lasting between 90-120 minutes, we will discuss the nature of any problems, identify the origins of the behaviour, ascertain how we can implement lasting changes to prevent the behaviour from occurring and how we can practically establish new behaviours in their place.
You will receive a report within seven days of our consultation detailing a plan of action and any relevant resources.
